Digipaks analysis

Mumford and sons are a folk/indie band who have chosebn a very simple and mimimalistic digipak to show that they are timeless and original. It is a 3 panelled pack with a booklet for lyrics/posters/extras in a sleeve, a plastic dick holder and a pannel for album artwork. The image is similar to the cover which shows they like to keep a consistant house style throughout. The white backgrouds work well to emphasize the black CD and square windows which the band members are sat in

Katy perrys digipak is very different in that its is colourful and bright, it has a very differnt feel. The colours and artwork used are very girly  and pink which represents teh artist as a pop girl singer. The artwork has been taken form her music video which runs on the theme of sweets, both CD's and the covers have elements of sweets (candyfloss clouds and lollypops). By using images from a video it helps to promote her video and gives her an identity and ocnsistancy. The font is also important a sit is a signature style for her name.
