lyrics analysis

When analysing the lyrics of Fij- one more year the main meaning behind the song was made clear by the title and was confirmed when looking at a BBC interview where the band spoke about the reasons behind the choice of lyrics (http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/london/low/people_and_places/music/newsid_8478000/8478958.stm)
The song is about the last year the band will have together with their friends before leaving for university and going their separate ways. The lyrics illustrate the lifestyle they currently have and the future as a very positive thing making the song very upbeat and happy. the majority of the lyrics talk about partying with friends and have a good time while they still can, as this is so frequently mentioned it will be a key part of out narrative. The second verse of the song relates to the morning after the party lyrics such as 'the highs out weigh the lows' and 'pay the high price for socialising' meaning the band are hung-over after a good party. However the song still remains upbeat. The chorus of the song talks about leaving but keeping in touch 'I’ll go, you know I’ll see you again soon'. form these lyrics they have given us a clear idea of shot and narrative which could be used such as flashback of parties, a hangover narrative, lively shots with groups of people, handheld shots etc...
